About

Drake Medox College was established in response to a need for better trained caregivers.

We work closely with the Drake Medox Care Services Divisions who run teams of frontline healthcare workers who are caring for the residents of British Columbia each day. The Drake Medox care divisions provide thousands and thousands of hours of care each year. RCA’s, CHW’s, LPN’s and RN’s ….all designations of caregivers work in the Drake framework of healthcare delivery. Because of this working relationship, we KNOW what makes a great caregiver.

You can only do well in your chosen field of work if you have the current skills and education to get the job done properly.  That is what we focus on. Developing and maintaining the most comprehensive, up to date curriculums so that we produce the finest professional caregivers available.

Employers want to hire the best. We will make you one of the best and we will help you start the career path that you want and deserve.

I was one of the first students that went through a program at Drake College. I had been a caregiver for a while but had no education. The patients required more and more care and I knew I had to get some training. I chose Drake because a friend of mine worked with them as a CHW and she loved it.

I had the best teacher at the college. She worked so hard to help us all. When we graduated I managed to get a job with Drake Medox Health Care and it was like everything fell into place. I knew I had picked the right job for me and I felt good doing my job well and giving people the best care.

Going to Drake College was the best thing for me that I did.

If anyone is thinking of doing LPN training I would like to hear from you. I am thinking of doing it abd would like to compare notes with someone. I wish Drake were teaching that course.

    Hi.

My daughter wants to be an RCA and I have been looking at various colleges and investigating what they offer. I have had the name of your college given to me several times now. Can you tell me how I can look at your curriculum? Will your training open up opportunities for my daughter to work in both facilities and in home based care? What is your success rate with employment after they graduate?

I just want to make sure she goes to the right college. I find that the fees vary a lot but some of the people that I have spoke to that have done the cheaper courses seem to have some employment problems when they finish. I want to avoid this as I don’t want her to have a student loan to pay and no job.

    Thanks for any help.
    Colleen
